Affordable professional help

We can visit your school or even set up online sessions to help train your students in ways to learn music more quickly!

In-school consulting

Meeting weekly with students can be a huge help in getting them to not only learn their parts, but go beyond to new levels of performance. Having them learn Snare, Mallets, Timpani, Auxiliary, Marching and Drumset is hard to do during Band class!

Online options

Online meetings, with FaceTime or Skype, are great options to get extra eyes and ears on your Percussionists. Having a professional Percussionist guide them through the waters of the Percussion parts can save you time during class and get more done with the entire ensemble.

Materials to guide students

We have extensive materials that are all road-tested and proven to get results! Along with on-going consulting, many of these come free!
  • Kevin's weekly instruction here at MWHS has improved the way my students rehearse and perform, and has improved the overall "culture" of my percussion section. Students now take pride in taking care of music and instruments, and work toward intentional leadership to make those things happen. It's been a game-changer for me, a clarinetist, to have an expert with Kevin's knowledge visit us on a regular basis - he is my sounding board for all things percussion, from what equipment to purchase, to what parts to assign to which students, to how to keep percussionists engaged when the repertoire doesn't call for all of them. He is a great resource for our program!

  • In addition to being a tremendous musician on everything from drum-set to mallets to steel drums, Kevin’s creative approach to teaching all but guarantees success in all of my students. On mallet percussion, Kevin recently completed his textbook that goes go far beyond traditional band method books. The book, in detail, explains Kevin’s unique and easy to understand approach to reading mallet music. The text includes an MP3 disc that provides background music to all of the exercises. His innovative approach to teaching rhythm makes teaching complex music easy to understand to students of all ages.

The bottom line with Kevin is that he gets results with my students. Students love to work with him and want to succeed. His “down to earth” personality combined with his creative techniques of teaching motivates students to practice and succeed.
